Antoine Chaya - Delivering IT and Financial Services Solutions

Antoine Chaya is a longtime San Francisco Bay Area executive with experience spanning financial services and technology. He joined the software pioneer Oracle Corporation in 1997 as an Atlanta-based consultant and sales director. Accepting a position at Oracle’s Northern California headquarters as senior director of strategic accounts in 2006, he delivered client-driven sales and marketing results.

Mr. Chaya earned his MBA in business management at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1990. He subsequently completed a doctorate in IT management at the same institution. As a PhD candidate, he pursued research in areas such as software outsourcing, strategic information systems, and the real-world economic impacts that information technology has.

Presented at the 29th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, Mr. Chaya authored “Exploring The Relationships Between IT Investments and Organizational Performance: Preliminary Empirical Evidence.” Antoine Chaya’s paper utilized five years of data spanning 609 major US companies, and found a strong relationship between increased IT investment and lower operating costs. While a time lag in cost-lowering existed, significant benefits were accrued through creating a robust IT infrastructure.
